How to Change Default Tool Preset

Hi-

Coming to terms with my last-minute purchase of PSCS6, and learning how to use the Content-Aware Spot Healing Brush.

It seems to me this tool works best with the Mode changed from default "Normal" to "Replace", but I can't find a way to make "Replace" the default setting.

I'm sure there must be some way to do this. Can anyone advise?
