Nature image set #5
« on: June 02, 2013, 08:56:18 pm »

Taking advantage of the Nikon Coolpix P7700 cool in-camera ND filter to slow the
shutter speed down for the motion blur and the swivel lcd screen makes low POV
shots a joy to do and is easy on the knees.

Take care,
Dwayne Oakes

Really Nice, especially because of the good gray gradient !

What was (were) shutter speed(s) ?!

Continue like that.

Have a Nice Day.

Very cool (!) Dwayne.
These are good shots.

Good to see you getting out and about.
You are definitely getting out and about more than I am at present.

I like both images. The slow exposure gives some life to this quiet place.

Thank you very much Tony and Thierry for the comments !

Photo one shutter speed was 1.3 sec @ f/8 with ND filter turned on.

Photo two shutter speed was 0.8 sec @ f/8 with ND filter turned on.

Take care,
Dwayne Oakes

I am guessing that you were down very close to the water to get the motion effect at those exposures, yet somehow you managed to catch a "large scale" perspective and DOF that is fantastic. Lovely muted gray tones.

Both very pleasing. In #2, the falls running in opposite directions are engaging.

Thank you very much Dave and Scott ! You are right Dave, the second photo was
1 inch off the water on a rock using a pocket tripod and the first photo used a normal
size tripod pod with the tripod legs in at 12 inches off the water. The long DOF is the result
of a smaller sensor and not much lens diffraction to speak of at f/8 max for the coolpix P7700.

Take care,
