Printing in Windows 8
« on: May 24, 2013, 03:37:56 pm »

Recently went from Vista to Windows 8 (I know, I know, notice I'm not calling it an upgrade).
Print color from my Epson 3800 went from dead nuts on, to dull and grayish.
See attached scan, file was not edited between printing.
Anyone experiencing problems with the canned Epson profiles? Am I getting double profiled?
I checked to make sure that the Epson driver is set to No Color Adjustment, and set the Pro38PGPP profile in the printer module.
The profiles were installed when I installed the printer, and they are dated from 2006. But can't find a link to newer profiles.
Perhaps it's the Epson driver, which doesn't seem to be fully Windows 8 ready.

Apologies for wasting your time - it turned out to be a clogged head issue. Ran it before, but running it again seems to have sorted it. The best possible outcome - effing with drivers and profiles is not how I wanted to spend my weekend.

There are no Windows 8 drivers for the Epson 3800 yet.......but the Windows 7 drivers work fine.
