Mechanical vs electronic shutters
« on: May 20, 2013, 02:01:53 pm »

Curiosity question here:  Why do most DSLRs and "compact system" cameras continue to use mechanical shutters?  What's the advantage over electronic?  I presume there must be one, since some cameras use both.
Thanks,
Greg

global shutter implementation will cost in some other more marketable areas for consumer level cameras (like DR for example) ?
