Energy from the wind
« on: May 14, 2013, 04:16:28 am »

This is the sunrise in a cultivated field in southwest Portugal, near the village of Cercal. I am all in favour of alternative and clean energy sources, but in my country, these things are basically in every hill... to say they are controversial is an understatement. Because they are not yet economic, the electricity bill has a "hidden tax" to support these things... Photographically speaking, they make for interesting subjects.

I tried to compose to take advantage of the contrail, trying to establish a link between the rising sun and the wind mills.

Shot with Canon 6D and Zeiss 25mm lens, plus graduated neutral filter.

Nice shot Paulo. I go along with what you say about the turbines. I also like the statement it makes to me, which is, you have all that sun for energy and the turbines are static.

Thanks for posting.
