I think I might carry a camera tomorrow and brave the elements - hoping for some female persons on the deck. Should there be any, then I shall ask them to make my day - and yours.

I believe they own a villa somewhere around here, in which case, I doubt they'd hang about their boat and freeze! Guess only a sunny day will tempt them out. Ain't nuttin' I have'll do it!

Putting on somebody else's second-guessing glasses (you know I don't own any myself), I wonder how the entire shot would look if you faked switched on lights on the tractor? Something small and relatively very bright could alter the atmosphere completely.

A nice touch of yellow/red?

Another great post. You made dig out my old Sigma 600mm cat. With an adapter for my micro 4/3 it becomes a unbelievable 1200mm. Lots of fun once more. The images these lenses yield are very painterly. Very dreamlike!

Good for you - it's amazing how we forget what we have hidden away.

The longest I can make my 500mm is around 750mm, by swapping it over to the old D200. But I don't really feel happy with that camera anymore after getting used to the D700. It doesn't do higher ISO too well, and with f8 max. and the need for short exposures, it's not the best tool...

Maybe the answer's to Hasselfake the images from the D700.

Now I remember I have a 135mm canon FD with a spider web lying between a couple of lens elements.
It made some beautifully soft images. Couldn't get that kind of softness any other way.
Now I need to see how that works on 4/3 system.
