Best store for pre-ordering Leica M 240?
« on: May 07, 2013, 01:33:52 PM »

Heaven knows what the wait time will be for this baby. This is my first foray into Leica territory, except for a 19mm f/2.8 R 3cam a few years ago. Does anyone have suggestions on the best place to add my name to a pre-order list?

Thanks,
Merrill

Leica Boutique in DC, Kurland in NYC.  Pop Flash in LA.  Tamarkin in Chicago.

I recently saw it in a store in Belgium. And there is no pre-order. You can just buy it.

If you are ready to order, let me know. I can give him a call. I am sure he will ship it.

Plenty of shops have a demonstration camera on the shelf, but almost all have a waiting list that will be dealt with before customers walking through the door or phoning. Your best bet is to find the nearest Leica dealer and put your name down and become a valued customer. That way even if it does put you at the bottom of the current list they may look more favourably on you next time you want to order a lens etc.
