Map of Iceland V2. By photographers, for photographers!
« on: May 02, 2013, 01:58:09 pm »

Hi folks,

I came a few months before to present you the map I designed for landscape photographers.

Josh Holko discovered it by this way and made a great review about it on hos blog :

http://blog.jholko.com/2012/12/17/iceland-where-to-go-and-what-to-see-map-review/

I'm happy to announce that I'm now printing the 2nd edition, so I thought you might be interested.

Here are some of the improvements based on the 1st edition:

- New design and colors with more contrast
- 50 % more informations
- Waterproof and Tearproof paper (the best on the market).

More details here : http://www.international-photographer.com/maps/iceland/

I should get the 100 first copies in a few days (mid-may).

I would like to thank you all for the great feedbacks we had so far.

Don't hesitate if you have any questions about the map, Iceland, I'll be happy to answer : )

Cheers,
Michael.

A lot of folks ask me about the digital map, so I thought it'd be nice to give you an update.

We are working hard on the project, but it is far from being ready.

We want it to be a real digital and interactive experience. It is actually fascinating all you can do with digital.
But in the meantime it is so complex to developp!
On my side I concentrated so far on the V2 paper map to make it the best on the market.
Now that it is ready we will continue to work hard on the digital version but don't expect it before the end of the summer.

Cheers,
Michael.

PS : I do think that a paper map is sometimes more handy than a digital one to get a quick information. You can access to it in an instant, and it needs no batteries : )
I agree that It is not that handy sometimes, specially in Iceland because of the weather.
That is why I choose a tearproof / waterproof paper that is really amazing to use in the field.
