Moon light at Hueco Tanks
« on: May 01, 2013, 02:45:28 pm »

Went to Hueco Tanks (West Texas) last weekend and had a good opportunity to try a moon light shot. Moon was full and came up late. Never did a "moon light" shot before so this was somewhat of an experiment. It's a 5 shot pano shot from the camp site.

30sec, F5 (16-35mm f4 lens on D800E), ISO 640, jpg down sized a ton.

Very other-worldly. Is the slight halo around the hill a jpeg artefact or a processing artefact?

I don't think either, actually more from the lights around El Paso (20 miles directly behind the hill).
