Yellow Cab
« on: April 29, 2013, 04:02:12 pm »

I am finding that wide gamut monitors are displaying my stuff as if the saturation had been cranked way up.  The linked image is on my Lightroom-generated web gallery, so I am assuming LR optimized the image for web.  Anyway, the green of the window is not so saturated on the actual print if you are looking at this with a wide gamut monitor....

Alan I have a 'normal monitor' . Having looked through the L.A gallery, yes the colours are quite saturated yet not in your face. Interesting what you say as I was thinking of getting a wide gamut monitor. I like your technical ability and some fine images.

How did you calibrate your monitor?

Thank you, Julian.  Dale, Spyder 3 (colors are fine in profile-aware applications).

I love how you saw the colors in this image.
