I can almost hear the roar of the waterfall. The stone slab in the lower right corner creates a nice balance to the composition, as well as a nice balance for any elderly visitors viewing the falls from closeup.  ;)

Having spent three years as a postdoctoral fellow at Cornell many years ago I know this site quite well.  I have some images captured with my old film Nikon but certainly nothing that showed the essence of the falls that Michael has achieved.  Well done!!

Love that area of NY State.  It's a waterfall photographer's paradise.  Looks like you had good luck with the flow.  Sometimes it can be just a small ribbon of water.

Trumansburg.

Visitors: watch for falling shale at the base of the falls in early spring.  People have been killed by it.
