Turns out there is some earth under the snow. Comments?

Very interesting, almost abstract.
I'd like to see the snow a little lighter, if you can do it without killing the sky.

Very interesting image. I agree the snow needs more brightness. I'm intrigued with what is on the skyline. Some houses? Not sure I'd keep such a small detail unless a larger print size would allow whatever it is to be of use as a scale indicator.

Thanks, Eric and Lou. Here it is a little brighter. Just a little brighter because it is old, rotten snow flecked with wind-blown dirt, under a dark sky.

I also took out the distant farmyards.

I must have a thing about clouds.

Before opening this image up, I had exactly the same thought as I had earlier with one of Patricia's colour shots of water; saw clouds.

It'll probably pass...

I was certain that it was shot from a considerable elevation prior to close examination.

being rather taken with clouds myself I know how that can happen.

I had the same reaction. It took me a moment to realise how it was done.
I like the lighter version, the initial photo was too dark.
Anyway, it's a pleasant and interesting shot.

Clouds, eh? Makes sense I guess: water formed by wind and sun.
