Watched, despite myself. Pleased that I did, but not really quite sure why.

Hope that he makes it. All the while I couldn't lose the sense that I was looking at a Frenchman who owns a restaurant here that I used to frequent: queued out into the street most days at lunch, but now isn't. It was quite spooky in that I had this sense of the Frenchman's tale being played out by the photographer; they could have been brothers, the snapper the younger.

Life works like that. It's often a bitch.
