Windows Vista: Backup Software
« on: April 16, 2013, 05:26:10 pm »

In helping a friend who runs LR in Vista, I have no idea how to advise her choice of backup software to backup an external drive, connected via USB, to an identical external USB drive. I've used SuperDuper in OSX for years, and dearly wish for some sort of equivalent functionality for my friend's Windows Vista system. The drive of concern will not contain an operating system; only her LR catalog, LR Previews, and all images. The volume of data is only about 1TB.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I've used FileBackPC for years.  It is extremely flexible and configurable.  Though it hasn't seen a software update in a while, it runs just fine on both Windows 7 and Windows XP.  (I skipped Vista.)   www.maxoutput.com/FileBack/
