A year ago, I likely would have missed this shot and not because I wouldn't have seen the leaf, but because I wouldn't have "seen" the leaf as having the same value of two eagles. "Reflections of a Spring Day" is another example of "seeing" as opposed to just looking or giving up because the shot I really wanted wasn't there.
When I saw the leaf and as with "A Moment of Softness" there not more than the time it took to change the aperture, focus and shoot, while the leaf had drifted quickly away with the current, I knew I had the best shot of that outing. Had I not seen the leaf, likely the downy feather too would have gone unnoticed.
Almost everything I saw and now see is a result of my perusing everyone else's work on this fourm. Thank you one and all for your own visions but as well, your guidance in my growth as a photogrpaher.
