Nice one mate!

I live a bit further down the drag in Brisbane but I know the Sunshine Coast well.
I have to admit that I like Cooloola and Great Sandy National Park for my photographic endevours myself however your images may tempt me further south.

Thanks guys!

Setup is Canon 7d with Tokina 11-16mm, and rickety tripod.

Sorry the third photo is from Rainbow Beach north of Noosa and not Caloundra.

Tony I was up at Rainbow Beach during the xmas period, absolutely stunning region. Perfect for photography.

Now back home in Melbourne, but daydreaming about my next push up north.....

Oooh! I love UW perspective landscapes. They are all beautiful, and #1 is particularly striking - I think the cliff-hanging plant just tops off a grand composition.

All good work.  With #2 I'm a bit uncertain about the cliff face.  I'm not sure if it needs to be darkened a bit to make it more of a silhouette or lightened a bit to bring it into the scene, but it's just sort of skulking about in the shadows as it is.

#3 -- why do the shadow and the sun seem to both be on the same side of the log?

Not the OP, Scott, but it looks to me like the driftwood is pointing almost straight at a very low sun, hence the shadow on the left from the curve at the top and a narrow band of shadow on the bottom right.

Yes that is correct, the sun has just risen over the horizon and was very low in sky.
