Ocean Swirl
« on: April 04, 2013, 09:32:17 am »

The attached image is taken in Newcastle, Australia and shows Nobby's Lighthouse in the distance. This image is part of a portfolio that I am slowly building to offer for sale in my local area. This is not a local scene as such for me, but Nobbys is well known to anyone who has spent time in Newcastle.

Comments and suggestions for improvement welcome.

Cheers,

Gary

A very fine image. IMHO, I want to put a half stop exposure gradient from foreground to horizon. Love the colors.

I like the composition and the colors of this picture but I'm not unbiased as love rocky shore-lines in general.

I like the angles, colours and motion. A little dark in the foreground?

I like it as it is… The foreground might be a tad dark but it doesn't grab my eyes…

I think so too Gary.

Hi Gary,

I like your photo, but
I think it can be improved by stressing the diagonal in lower-left part.
Here is what I mean (it’s a lousy job just to show the idea):

This is my kind of image and I don't see anything that can be improved in a meaningful way. A mistake - imo - is to keep making small tweaks and never be satisfied. This is something that should sell well and very likeable. :)
