Goðafoss in Winter - Iceland
« on: April 04, 2013, 08:11:04 am »

Back yesterday from a fabulous month in Iceland with good friends Andy Biggs, Daniel Bergmann and Kevin Raber from Phase One. We had two fabulous back-to-back winter workshops with some really varied weather and light. We had 24 participants across the two trips and some fabulous photography resulted. We did have some really good Aurora during the first workshop and I hope to process some of the images over the coming weeks.

In the meantime wanted to share a photograph from Goðafoss in the North of Iceland I made between the two workshops. Back story to this photograph is on my BLOG.

PS: Field tested the new Phase IQ260 back. Oh boy.... could have been a very expensive field test... it is quite the machine.

A beauty - and so hard to get any sense of scale. This could be a small cataract in a mountain stream, and really does show how snow can transform everything about a landscape

Josh, great stuff! Your waterfall shot is wonderful but I am really liking Room With A View! Since the Puffin is one of my favorite birds I'm a sucker for just about any shot of them.

While Goðafoss is nice in summer, this winter image is simply stunning…

Congrats

One day, Josh, I'll visit Iceland. I hope it's with you: I can't begin to imagine how much I'd learn.

What an amazing shot Josh - I know the exact spot you took this from and it sure looks different in winter!  What a story to get there and what a wonderful picture to have as a reward.
