Why I hate Electronic Viewfinders
« on: April 03, 2013, 11:55:14 am »

Hi Guys,

a nice article but even that picture isn't a good example for praising the OVF of a Fuji X-Pro 1. In portrait-mode the lens will conceal either the boy or the statuary. ;D

Regards Harald

PS: Anyway, I really love the OVF of my X-Pro 1

I don't make a religion from that. In some cases EVF works better than OVF and sometimes it's the opposite. Good to have both options in one camera :)

Here's Kirk Tuck's (a fan's) take on EVFs.  http://theonlinephotographer.typepad.com/the_online_photographer/2012/05/kirks-take-electronic-viewfinders.html
It's a very good opinion piece but really worth reading for the direction the reader comments take. I still smile.

Ouch! Let's close this thread immediately. I'm not about to start a warfare.
