How do you use your IQ back with view cameras in zero latency mode?
Coming from the P25, when using my Bicam, I still continue using the 2 step multiconnector wake up cable that comes with my new back.
Now, I sometimes wish to use to IQ in zero latency mode (for handheld shooting) with the normal minijack sync cable that I also use with my 503cw.
The Silvestri adapter plate (and maybe other technical camera plates too?) is larger than the IQ back, the minijack cable fits into the IQ Back in both positions but is 1mm too thick, it moves the DB a bit away form the camera. Definitely not something to do. Are there thinner cables available?
Something else: Anybody here using a V-Mount IQ back on his technical camera ? There vertical release button is very difficult to press when my IQ160 is attached on the Bicam (and not at the 503cw). The live adapter plate being larger (again) than the DB, the button is not very accessible as you can see in the pictures. The older (P backs) solution was less design, but user friendlier. Do I really care now…not really, I just tilt the camera for vertical shooting. But it’s something I want P1 to know, I may mention it on their own forum too. Maybe there are users of LF cameras with sliding backs that can't rotate their inserts and need to rotate the back.
