The ItSupplies metallic list seems nearly identical to the Atlex list; perhaps ITS and Atlex are related companies.
I've tried all those papers. The "Pure Silver" and "Pure Gold" metallics are freakshow media, in my mind. Can't imaging a photographer using them, but your experience may vary.
The Pearl is possibly the paper that David G should try. I found it the most unique of the surfaces - those that I could stomach at least. By unique I mean that the Pearl really does strike a compromise between a metallic and a smooth luster PK paper, for the sample prints I made. While I'd never call it a matte paper, David might find it of value.
The Chrome is very much in the spirit of typical metallic paper, and I don't mean that in a pejorative way. Red River Polar, Moab Slickrock, Breathing Color Vibrance, DTG Metallic, others - very similar to this style. I use this style for large poster-style prints when punch and impact is the goal. I have never sprayed the print, they are usually laminated and I'll say that glossy laminate is needed to maintain the factors that make me choose the metallic in the first place. A luster laminate really dulls the paper down, so I wonder if a matte spray will do the same thing. In some instances, I do matte and frame this kind of metallic behind Museum Glass, and the right content can look quite good to me eye on this strain of metallic paper.
