This town, whose age is almost 7,000 years, was firstly of the Thracians, then was conquered by Greeks is now a seaside resort conquered be Germans. Here you could see a "German town" or maybe a holiday "Bayerischer Hof",only.

Well with Perla, Bayerischer Hof and Honolulu, you have the choice between different hotel & restaurant styles!

I would also look for something Bulgarian in Bulgaria but some folks like to feel at home everywhere on the planet. It's kinda weird: why travel to remote places if the only place and atmosphere you like is the one you have at home?

Again, you,as usually, have right. The "tragedy" is that in this part of the world some Bulgarians do not want to be in Bulgaria,as you will see.Commercial interests do that,....perhaps.........

In time, the need to wash increased so at the beginning of 6th c.these bath was built. There were the ages of Justinian the Great the Byzantium's Emperor. Then, there were wars, and wars again and again and the need of the cleanness decreased ......in the  same time with the increasing of the need of the fight. Those who survived built over in 9th c.a cereal depot and the lime-kilns.

It says that the reason to remain "Aliturgetos" was a builder who fell down and died inside the church. That killing did it inadmissible for future worship.

Other say that the reason should have been the crusaders under Amadeus of Savoy's command who burned out the roof of the church. Then the earthquakes finished what the crusaders begun.

Messembria as many other places of the Europe was a "sandwich" of populations.Over Thracians were Greeks, then Romans-that was BC.Then Greeks again(Byzantine Empire),then Slaves from 5th c. AD. Bulgarians came over Slaves and ruled them. From 7th c.they organized first Bulgarian state recognized by Byzantium.Below you could see The Old Bishopic Church from 5/6th c.

These wooden houses were built at the end of 18th c.and the beginning of 19th c. and are distinctive for the Nessebar. They will not probably impress you. This place was one which confronted with many natural and not only natural calamities so the aspect of a cheap and provisional state is visible.

That is more visible for those who saw the West European wooden masterpieces like this from Alsace,France. That could define the diversity of the history and of the people pressed by their history. Those few English words are their hope?......... Who could know !

Walking on the narrow streets where beauty poorness and oldness live together, someone could ask what it happened here,in the past, when the people renounced at the brick and stone for the wood. The answer could be those strange names of the streets such Khan Krum, Khan Asparukh,Tsar Ivan Alexander,Basil Bulgaroktonos and so on which come from the history or natural disasters or a deadly combination of both.

There, where the sun,the beach and the sea are together the wine(and the women-of course :)) must be nearby. Now,the sun is out so the winery is closed.(In their language and with their alphabet is written "Vinarna"/BNHAPHA )
PS-to be Bulgarian "I",N must flip horizontal but I don't know how...... :-[
