I have upgraded my computer to OS 10.8.2 and have also bought the 400 USD upgrade from xrite to be able to continue using my 1200 USD device but every time I try to use it the new software doesnt find my device which is connected via a USB to my MacPro. I tried repair disk permission, am connected via USB2 and not 3, deleted old Match software, restarted my computer 10 times but still not working.

Is anyone out there with similar problems or even better, with a solution for me?

Thank you for any help there is out there. It will be very much appreciated.

Might be due to something with the new X-Rite protocol for detecting instruments. Did you try reinstalling that software a 2nd time? What about logging into another account and installing? Might be some conflict with another piece of software. No issues on this end.

I needed a powered hub to make my Macbook Pro Retina (10.8.2) see my i1 Display Pro. The device went unseen when plugged directly into the USB3 input on the computer.

Anne-Sophie:

I believe the problem you face is that i1Match 3.6.3 only supports up to Snow Leopard (OS X 10.6). In which case you have two options:

1. You can try to downgrade your Mac to 10.6 (if possible) or use an older legacy Mac that supports 10.6,
or,
2. Upgrade your i1Match software solution to i1Profiler, which does support 10.8.2+ moving forward. The i1Profiler software only upgrade from X-Rite is called the i1Publish Upgrade 'A', part #EOPROF-UPGA. You can find it at our website: http://www2.chromix.com/colorgear/shop/productdetail.cxsa?toolid=50182&pid=10449. MSRP is $599, our price is $499. Right now there is an additional $150 mail-in rebate offer on top of that. The mail-in coupon is at: http://www.xrite.com/documents/Literature/EN/L11-288_i1_Loyalty_Rebate_USD_EN.pdf

I'm not necessarily trying to sell you something. Just stating realities.

Hope that helps.

Can't say I've had the same issue. Are you able to see the device in System Profiler at all? At the least with standard licensing it should show up as a Display licensed device in i1Profiler. Naturally Eye-One Match will no longer work in 10.7/10.8 however the device would still be visible in System Profiler if it's detected.
