IPF 8300 Print Length
« on: March 23, 2013, 11:58:38 AM »

Does anyone know what the maximum print length that the 8300 out of the Canon plug-in is capable of?

I have a job that will be somewhere in the realm of 16" x 10 feet. I'm wondering if I can do this on the Canon.

John; Forum Member Keith Cooper made a 14 meter long print using the IPF8300 with the Canon Plug-in. You can read all the details here: http://www.northlight-images.co.uk/article_pages/14m_pano_print.html

Best chance is on the Canon, on my plain Z3100 the limit is near 2.75 meter and Qimage can not help then. On my Z3200PS it is way over that size. printed over 5 meter so far. You could try on the Z3100 on cheap paper. If the image is say 3 feet wide and 11 feet long and the print is beginning the 3 feet wide may be cropped to less than one foot wide. That is an indication that it will not print above say 9 feet length in my experience.
