Totally ripping off RSL's posting style.

And I like it. It's good street. But I'd have moved the camera a bit to the right to eliminate the empty space (not negative space, Slobodan) to the left.

Yeah, I composed it completely wrong. This is actually a pretty aggressive crop! The original frame ends on the right edge of the cropped frame, and there's a whole bunch of worthless crap off to the left. This means I cannot place the girl and the ducting where I want them in the frame, without going to an absurdly tall format. I might try that out, actually.

I didn't "see" this shot properly until I was looking at it days later.

Thanks, Russ.

Girl's bent leg seem to echo the shape of the ventilation tube in upper right corner.

Exactly! The kind of geometric relationship that helps make a good street shot. Plenty of ambiguity in that one too.

After you try making it absurdly tall, you could try using the 1200 lines of the posted 1500 from her toe to the track light.  Seeing that on my 1200 line screen made me curious about what was farther left, not right.  I know, you have already tried it but...

One of the better shots I've see you post in awhile. I like Slobodan's notation about the leg and piping. I too noticed that right away.

Yup, it's the duct and the leg that make it go.

I have no idea if I noticed that when I shot it, or if I was just attracted to her butt. Later on I definitely noticed the duct and the leg, though, and was very pleased. Not as pleased as if I'd pointed the camera correctly, though ;)

That's what it's all about, SB. Those are the "curves" I mentioned.

Nice tone and cream to the image but the composition is lacking to my eye.
