Wow, this image has some great tonal qualities! That being said, I find the splash of light to the left distracting and I want to get closer to that marvelous center cluster. I could see this as part of a series, with this as a "overview" shot.

I agree, the third version is the best of the bunch. It's a very impressive image, the tones of the leaves and their shapes are stunning.
