The moon rises over the sea ice in the archipelago outside of Helsinki, Finland.

Very nice. Love the way the crescent moon looks at high latitudes. The colors are restrained, and I get a feeling of isolation. You might want to lose a little bit off the right side.

I would agree with the above sentiments. The right hand side needs to be lightened or cropped then you have a fine image.

I have to agree with comments above about the right side. It feels cold but the pink hues give hope of some warmth. The crescent is perfectly sized in this barren frozen landscape, not ridiculously big or small.

Bravo!

Thank you for the compliments and the ideas for improvement!

Elsewhere I've heard that the image would also benefit from including a bit more ground?

No point in more ground if there isn't any more detail in the snow and I guess there wouldn't be?

A wonderful capture. Donít change a thing.

Make a large enough print to enjoy it from several feet away and put it where many can see it.

Splendid!

If anything, you might want to lose a sliver on the right side, and add a sliver at the bottom, but that would be nitpicking anyway. If you feel it is right this way, than it is.

Excellent shot, and not one that requires anything cropped off. It's well-composed as it is.

I'd take a smidgen off the top & stick it on the bottom, and a sliver off the right & stick that on the left. Then put it back again. You should be good to go then. Happy days.

Or leave it as it is. Looks fine to me.
