Two accessories for Hasselblad H4D-40
« on: February 25, 2013, 05:41:45 pm »

Hi,

1. Can I tether the Hasselblad H4D-40 via VS30FW FireWire repeater made by Kramer Electronics to Mac? Can the repeater damage the digital back?

2. Which remote wireless control do you recommend to release shutter in the Hasselblad H4D-40, for example, for self portrait?

Thanks
Evgeny

Hi,
thank you for the reply.
1. I already have a brand new VS30FW repeater. I can test it with the H4D-40 camera, but I'm afraid, if the repeater can damage the digital back. So, I wanted first to ask an advice.
2. This is an interesting idea. But my mobile phone is Samsung S3. Can the Phocus Mobile work with an Android phone?

Thanks

You could use air display to control a tethered computer.

Very handy

Fred, that's interesting. I will look at the air display.

That is very, very unlikely and if it did happen the manufacturer of the repeater would be liable. This being said, you can try the repeater on a less expensive device first if you have concerns.

Unfortunately, Android was omitted. I myself am curious if Hasselblad see the fact that there are other systems :)
