Thanks for the feedback Daniel, much appreciated. As for your comments, I can add the following information, as that may clarify things a bit:
#1 - I like the yellow glow of the lights, and agree they might be a bit too strong. During exposure, I have actually used a 2 stop hard graduated filter to tone them a bit. Maybe a candidate for B&W? I am including a similar composition taken a few minutes later, when there was a bit more ambient light, and so the lights from the lighthouse were not so strong.
#2 - I was looking for a brood and mencaing sky, so I stopped at 30s exposure, after some trials.
#3 - I was not after leading lines into the subject, just a plain "horizon" shot with sea, some mist, clouds lit by the sunrise light, and dark clouds on top.

I have included a second shot, this one trying to illustrate the wonderful rock textures and patterns in the cliffs (plenty of folds, for those with a geological inclination).
