California Dreaming
« on: February 25, 2013, 01:55:18 am »

I will apologize ahead of time in case I missed a possible guideline on this forum about whether the general heading of landscape and nature photography totally excludes people getting in the way or not. At least, in this case, they are indistinct because of the strong backlighting.

I felt I needed to get out of a recent rut of mountains and forests and birds.
Anyway, the local waterfowl have been starting to think I'm a bit weird hanging around taking pictures of them all the time.

So, here is a pretty classic scene from Ocean Beach -- I hope it evokes warm feelings even though it is mid-Winter. At the time, my fingers were seriously numb because of the cold wind and spray from crashing waves.

I am convinced that this is not the first landscape image containing people on this forum that I have seen.
I can't speak for others but would not want to miss out on seeing this image just because of the human presence.
Very enjoyable viewing, I must say.

I used to go see Dick Dale and the Deltones at the El Monte Legion Stadium..geeze, what a great memory-minder, Francois.
