OT: Travel Cases for gear?
« on: February 20, 2013, 09:33:15 pm »

Looks like I'm going to be doing more and more traveling, so I'm wondering about any hard-sided case recommendations for my grip: lights, stands etc, that won't break the bank!  Would something like a golf bag work for light stands? I also have a Profoto kit in a Tenba case, but I don't think I would trust that, plus it has no wheels...

Thoughts?  (sorry this is ot. Didn't know where it should go).

Lightware, and Pelican. Better to break the bank, than your gear.

Dave,
I had Caseclub in Anaheim make custom inserts for Pelican cases. The combination of the Pelicans and custom fit foam has protected my gear over a lot of rough journeys. For more info contact Darren: dplehn@caseclub.com.
FYI - I have no connection with Caseclub, just a happy customer.

Good Luck,
Ed
