So nice Dave.  The tonality of the water provides great motion and depth.

Simply beautiful with just the right amount of mystery to draw me in.

Very effective abstract.
Asks all sorts of questions and just tantalizingly fails to answer any definitively.

I agree completely with Terry and Tony, and perhaps with Slobodan (but I wonder: Is he getting a bit too long-winded?)   ;D

Definitely different from the usual images posted and a pleasant change. Not much going on in the image so little to comment on other than well done. :)

Right... I was wandering myself about that fourth "w" ;D

Thanks Guys  :) I am really happy that you like it ;D

I was very hesitant in posting that original image, as it is just so abstract that I didn't know what people would think of it, although my other half loves it and she is my fiercest critic, but none the less I was still even more hesitant to come back to the forum to see what your comments might be.

So after taking a deep breath and pushing my luck, I wonder what you might think of this next image, Trees Reeds and Loch? Which is even more abstract, but is exactly the image I wanted to make.

There is no advanced PS trickery in either of these two images BTW, other then dust spot removal and a little colour balancing, they are both pretty much straight out of the camera, although I do expect that this second image will not be to everyone's taste.

The first one is superb and the second is very nice. In fact, I find it much more interesting than "Rhein II" (sorry, SB), but not up to the first one.

Love the first one; the second one doesn't do much for me...

Mike.

P.S.  While I don't want to trivialize Dave's excellent work, it did remind me somewhat of this. :)

The first is appealing and thought-provoking. The strong line in the center leads my brain to assume the 2 halves of the 2nd are two versions stacked vertically.

Though why I don't know, since I compare versions horizontally, conditioned, I suppose, by the way I read.

Well done.

Don't want to hijack your thread with my own image without permission, but I have a similar (in vein) image I took on a cruise ship elevator i would like to share.

A vertical view of a glass elevator as it goes 14 stories down at a rather rapid pace.
