Has anyone tested the old Schneider Super-Angulon 47mm MC (not the current XL) with a digital back or scanning back? I have a friend who's thinking about getting one for his 9 um pixel (22 megapixel) back, these can be had real cheap on the second hand market. Analog wides usually means a huge deal of chromatic aberration, so I'm wondering how bad it would be with this lens.
I have a 47mm Apo-Digitar myself, and I'm guessing that the Digitar is a evolution of the MC, not sure how much was changed though. My Digitar does have some slight chromatic aberration issues, it's not as "digital" as the newer 43mm Super-Digitar. This together with the large image circle makes me think that the 47mm digitar is quite "analog" and maybe the Super-Angulon MC is not so much worse, or is it a whole different lens?
