This is what he does when you do get too close...but then I prefer an inflight shot, so no worries for me.

Backlit egret is very neat!

Ran across this fellow one evening in Del Rio Texas. Wolf spider about the size of a golf ball.

Velvet with thorns, plus a slick eye surface. Many don't appreciate spider photos, mostly because they are afraid of spiders, but I do like the photos and the subjects.
