i1Profiler v1.4 and projectors
« on: January 29, 2013, 11:29:53 pm »

Using the latest version (1.4), just released, I’ve tried an EyeOne Pro-2 Colorimeter and an EyeOne Pro Spectrophotometer and can’t get the software to move past trying to find the instrument. It changes the screen crop by adding black bars but then tells me the instrument is too high, low, left or right. No matter what I do with either, I can’t get past this error. If I do not move the unit between attempts, it still reportS. an error (too high, now too low etc). Tried four different projectors, using a very dark room and Gray Wolf screen. Nothing out of the ordinary. Error checking just seems dead wrong.

I'd like to report to X-rite that either my setup is unearthly and strange OR they've got a bug or two in this module. Anyone have success or failure with either device when calibrating a projector?
