Thank you for taking a look... I was going to ask a question of those who responded in some way about whether the general framing affected in any way your ability to let yourself be drawn in to the psychology/sense of place or whether it was solely a graphic response... I had a sense myself of too obvious/and tight a sense of frame, taking away the ease to wander (in self memory). But realize after being reminded about something from long ago, that I've asked too much of you and not nearly enough of myself.

Thank you whenever and for whatever catches your attention as it is instructional as I am "reading" what I think I am portraying from behind the lens. Much appreciated.

I, for one, don't feel any wish for either more or less included in the frame.

As I look at it this time, it reminds me a bit of some of Karin Rosenthal's photographs of nudes reflected in tide pools, where the nude figures take on the texture of the rocks. Here, the rocks suggest (to my mind, anyway) a human form. But the nice thing about the image is that I can play with it and imagine all sorts of things, and yet all my interpretations seem to share a quiet, contemplative mood.

Another try: The picture doesn't have to end at its physical borders. If what is inside evokes something of what may be outside the frame, then that is good, too.

Intriguing to look at and has some stimulating qualities to make one keep searching it. Abstracts are hard to make work as well as this one does. (I say abstract because I am not sure what I am looking at by name). The mixture of pattern and mass objects and textures is superb. The tones are perfect for this subject and a lot of storyline can be imagined as one studies the photograph. Harder to do than it looks.

Again: Patricia, if you'd put together a portfolio of this and some of the other abstract work you've shown lately I'd bet it would be a serious contender in B&W magazine's next portfolio contest.
