Leaf Aptus 75 Value
« on: January 23, 2013, 12:00:35 am »

Hello all , my career is winding down and i hardly ever use my Aptus 75 V Mount , it has a scratch on the glass protecting the sensor
which i discussed here on this forum and got a price on , but have never had the spare money to fix , i mostly shoot nearly wide open
so you do not see the mark much.
i have not taken more than a few thousand images with it.

What could i sell it for ? i know difficult question.

TBH, I'd get it repaired and sell. I wouldn't want to take on a less than perfect back and I'd wonder what else had happened to it.

Harder to question a spotless camera.

I agree, it would be hard to find anyone who would touch it with a scratched glass. I know the value of my Aptus 75 is pretty low compared t0 what i paid. I see them listed around $6500 not selling.

Even the more recent Phase One P30+ only sells for $4-5K anymore on the used market...
I would be surprised if you could still get $6,500 for a Leaf Aptus 75.

3-4k if you are lucky. Leaf Aptus 75s sells for 4-6k in good condition.

Try to get a new glass for it before you sell it. You can sell it for much more if it is in good condition.

Thanks all it might be worth the new glass as you say.
Got a 2.5 day food shoot with it first , still works great , and the Leaf 75 has such great colour ,
i could get away with my Canon but the colours are just not as pleasing.

Definitely recommend getting a replacement IR filter Sensor glass. You can order this from Leaf or MAC group in the US. Ping Yair (yaya) for the part number - he helped me with that information for my Aptus 65 after I broke my sensor glass.

It might cost you $1k, or maybe less, but it'll make the back definitely more sellable. Of course, the other option if you don't want the hassle is to discount it and provide the details for the buyer to get a replacement sensor glass cover.
