old photo, new mono edit..Glyderau mountains, Snowdonia
« on: January 15, 2013, 11:18:16 am »

This one has been sat on my PC unloved pretty much since I shot it in 2008, been trying out black & white of late so thought I'd give this one a go, I'd welcome opinions

thanks

Hi Simon,

i like the image. The lightness of the rocks in front however,  draws my eye there instead of into the image in the distance. What did you intend ?

Yes... I'd want to darken those four rocks in the lower right.  Otherwise it's a fine image.

I am drawn to the dark and menacing clouds coming from the right. Nice image.

Nice image!  So close to really singing.

I'm going to suggest the opposite of others:

I'd play with lightening the rocks in the foreground so they compete more for attention with the bright portion of sky in the top left.  A few small, brighter highlights on the slopes in the distance on the right and accentuating the main trail that runs through the center and my eyes might end up dancing all over the frame for a longer period of time.
