Hasselblad H3DII-39 voltage?
« on: January 10, 2013, 04:55:51 pm »

Does anyone know the voltage of the H3DII-39 back? I just received a Tekkeon external battery (for powering it on my Arca Swiss without being tethered), and I need to set the voltage output on the battery.

thanks

I'm afraid I don't know the answer to this one. Firewire voltage seems to vary quite a bit (between 12 and 30V). I would excercise caution before connecting anything.

Thanks, Nick. From what I can tell, the camera's battery grip provides an output of 7.5V, so I'll start there and work my way up until the back powers on.

Happy to hear from anyone else who knows this info.

The battery grips are 9.6v and 7.2v. This would suggest the body takes what it needs. Find out properly though.

Answer: The voltage the back requires is definitely 7.5V. I started at 6V; not enough juice. Then 6.5V; same. 7.5V: all good. Makes sense. The Hasselblad datasheet for the 7.2V battery grip says it has an output of 7.5V.

Thanks, everyone.
