Taken last month, a couple of days before the full moon.  More images of the evening here.

Very nice Moon. It could have been in Iceland! I like the pinkish, almost fluorescent hills. Perfect combination with the blue of the sky.

Very pretty indeed Rajan!  A relaxing scene in composition and color.

Thank you, all.

Francois, part of the faint pink is the reflection from the sky from a mild Belt of Venus effect off to the side (can barely be seen in the frame though).  Those foreground hills (Kit Fox hills) are a very interesting area.

Very nice, Rajan. You clearly timed your visit to Death Valley much better than I timed mine!

Rajan ,
Thanks for the very interesting info. I must say that I didn't identify those hills but my last visit there (DV) was a long time ago…

I like the pinkish, almost fluorescent hills.

Yes, the almost fluorescent hills are very fine. Engaging but believable. Illuminated by the glow in the  western sky: well-captured and processed.
