Sunart - the wild Scottish westcoast
« on: January 06, 2013, 12:07:51 pm »

A few of the photographs I took last Summer in Sunart, a Scottish peninsula. I especially liked the lichen and fern packed oak woods and the wooded shores.

The full portfolio is here: Sunart

#4 Camuschoirk

#5 Strontian

#6 between Strontian and Polloch

All photographs taken with Rollei, a good mood, midge repellent and after waking early...

Awesome photos.  Amazing detail in #2, but #3 has to be my favorite.  I've only been to Scotland once, so this is spoken with no expertise, but those landscapes don't really remind me of where I went... more oaks than I saw.  Guess it varies!

#4 evokes an Edenlike response from me...makes me want to be there.

For some reason, I responded to the last one the best even though there is no obvious subject to fix on. Overall it invokes a feeling o calm and composure, the lines of contrast along the darker portion draw me in, and then my eyes skip around the textured parts for a bit looking for patterns.

Thank you all!

This one is growing on me too!

Wow, great shots Wim. My favorite is #5, it makes me want to walk right across the field into the sunrise!
