I'm building a new system and the MB which is designed to excel with over clocking has 2 instead of 1 8 pin ATX power connectors in addition to the 24 pin. Going on past history with Gigabyte they've done this in the past when extra power might be necessary for extreme over clocking, but 2 have never been necessary for stock clocks.. I can't find any documentation and I hate to ship a system without being sure.. and I just can't connect an extra because they're pinned differently than PCIe connectors and the Seasonic Platinum I spec'd to go with it only has one 8 pin CPU cable.. even my box(s) of extra cables&crap haven't turned up an extra.. so I'd have to wait to to the year year and order an extra cable only.
But if anyone has ever used for for an extended period or seen it talked about on line I'd sure appreciate a link. Thank you.
btw - this appears to be an exceptionally well made MB with every conceivable option other than TB. Soon I hope. Build quality and components are superb.. features are superb.. We'll see what happens wen I apply power..
