CF Card Reader that Doesn't suck?
« on: December 25, 2012, 10:55:05 pm »

Suggestions? I am using some Lexar thing that I am not terribly pleased with....I read a little about the Delock CF Card Readers which are 3.0 and it says up to 5gbps http://www.delock.com/produkte/F_275_extern_91704/merkmale.html .... any suggestions on anything better?

Hello,

I have two of the Lexar Professional USB 3.0 Dual-Slot Readers connected to my home and studio Mac Pro systems and they have worked for me faultlessly and download files very fast.

I believe that I have the previous version of this, the 3.0 is better?

If you're okay with an internal reader for a Windows systems there are several which are a joy to use.  I'm using a USB 3.0 Koutech I reviewed here.  I've installed dozens of these without a single complaint.

Should have mentioned, the majority of the time I am running a 15inch (latest) retina MBP, never is any real need for my Mac Pro these days.

Lexar USB 3.0 card reader here as well. It positively screams with a Lexar 1000x card. I've never seen files download so fast.

I use a Sandisk USB 3 reader, mostly with 32Gb 1000X Lexar cards, which works beautifully.
