Sensible Dogs and an Unsensible Human
« on: December 24, 2012, 08:31:34 pm »

Do you remember Nipper the RCA Victor Fox Terrier listening to "His Master's Voice"? If so, you may find this photo essay on sensible dogs and an unsensible human interesting. The article also discusses the challenges of getting a dog to perform for the camera. This article will not interest folks that aren't into dogs. http://goo.gl/DXwfa

Nice essay, Bob.

I just saw a rerun of The Wizard of Oz on TV the other night, and I couldn't help wondering how they managed to get Toto (the dog) to follow happily along all the time, no matter how crazy the antics of the people were. The special visual effects would be easy today using computers and software, but the dog training probably hasn't changed much since 1937 or so.
