I shot this for the juxtapositioning of the sign to the people's movement and the roof sign as a way of showing the local color contrasting with the different types of people. I didn't realize at the time the number of people staring me down as I made the shot. Cruise ports are a wonderful dichotomy in philosophy: Ships boost the local economy, but in reality ships also change a variety of local demographics. The question will alwys remain as to whether it is enough benefit for the whole? Personally, I doubt it helps any more than a few and those few were already doing well, I suspect.
