Can this be Real and How?
« on: December 19, 2012, 01:01:09 PM »

the post shot focusing photograph?

One makes and then refocuses the image, including altering perspective?

one image clearly shows a spectrum of points of view.

Can anyone explain this process?

one file on their website was so astonishingly different as to beg credulity

there were several tiny branches which partially obscured the objects behind them. as one panned accross the image...the point of veiw either further obscured those object with the objects in the foreground or made them more fully visible. That still astonishes me

Thank you.

The sensor records both the luminosity and color of each light ray like a normal sensor, but also the direction of each ray. Focus and DOF can be recalculated from this extra information. Files are big, but the resolution is (still) quite small, almost useless, compared to traditional digital cameras. It is a novelty, but it works.
