Hi,

This is the first time I have registered photos with the eCO. I bought a very helpful book: "Photographer's Survival Manual--A Legal Guide for Artists in the Digital Age". However, I have one question remaining for which I can't seem to find the answer--

For unpublished works, is it acceptable to register works created in more than one year? For example, I would like to register photos that I created in 2010-2012. This comprises about 5000-6000 photos. Or, is it necessary to limit registration to photos created in a single calendar year?

 Thanks,
Kevin

This is this step I'm asking about (see attached image). I have found no discussion anywhere addressing the issue of whether it is admissible or advisable to register unpublished works from more than a single year. In my case I would like to register images taken 2010-2012. I would simply put 2012 as the year of completion.

Image was taken from this website. This page is helpful, but does not address the issue as far as I can see:

This video tutorial will answer that Q. Yes you can register over multiple years (for unpublished work) use the most recent year as date.

About 3 minutes into the video.

Thanks. BTW, I checked out your webpage, and I think it's one of the best individual photographer webpages I've ever seen--not just the photos, but the overall design, presentation, etc. Great work. I recently bought a couple of domain names, and will have my site up in January 2013.

Thanks, appreciate the props. I'll take credit for the content and editing- site is by big flannel.com - excellent designer and great template sites.

The ASMP.org site is probably the best resource for copyright info and tutorials (yes I'm partial because I'm on the Board..)

Good luck with your site.

Best,

Bruce
