Hey guys. If anyone on this board coats with LexJet's Sunset Satin on LexJet canvas, I'd like to get you all's advice on the method you use to spray. I originally sprayed a lot of layers when I started with LJ because I was used to BC's Timeless. This caused the canvas to harden like cardboard almost and any fold I would make on the print felt like it was literally breaking the coating layer and would crack. I spoke with a rep and they told me a lot of people actually only put one coat (sideways or up and down) and that's it. I tried doing sideways, up and down, then wait an hour and repeat this process and I still get cracking when I fold the canvas to make my corners. I use the Pitbull Canvas Stretcher which allows me to pull tightly and make my canvas prints very tight and I don't get any cracking here. It's when I fold the canvas to make my corners. I'll see white start to show on only parts of the fold. I tried a lot of coating, same result. Not so much coating and same result. How many times do you all coat with this product? Thanks for the tips!
