I'm printing a new portfolio.

It's 17x22. I have the printer set for roll paper (Canson infinity Baryta) in Lightroom at 17x22. The prints are coming out at about 17x22 7/8ish.

Any ideas what's up? Is it something about cutting the paper? I'd like to print at 17x22 exactly.

Thanks
Paul

Try using double cut.  It'll cut off a section in front of the print but then trim the end of the print exactly resulting in the proper size.  The 7/8ish will always be there if you don't, at the front of the print and at the end, so you end up wasting about the same amount of paper, but your finished dimension will be right.

Try using double cut...

Mike, Where is the double cut called up? I can't recall seeing that.

Thanks,

Yeah Mike that sounds great but I can't find the double cut setting in the manual or in the setup menus.  Thanks so much for your help.  Can't find anything online either.

Mike is there any way to reduce the amount of paper waste?  That's a little ridiculous.  But anyway, my prints are the size I want them.  It's wasting about 4" of paper.

I've looked and looked but haven't found a more efficient way.  The way I look at it, is that if you're charging enough for the print, then you don't worry about the waste.  Once I realized that, it didn't bother me anymore.  I use the scraps to test my pen/pencils etc, before signing the finished work.
