Z2100/3100 Cutter with thick Rag
«

Should I cut thicker paper (300gsm Rag) by hand with a knife
to save wear & tear on cutter, belt ect. or is ok to
use auto cutter? I only do 3 or 4 roll prints a month
Thanks

Let it cut. I do it all the time with Photorag, German Etching, William Turner 310 grams.
Keep your head carriage bar oiled, replace the belt when it gets old, put in a new disc knife when you think it is getting blunt but use the machine as it is intended.

I've been using the built in cutter on 310 gsm paper for 5 years. A tech who came in to service my 3100 was kinda surprised that it cut that thick of stock at all. But no problem, like Ernst said.
